Daniel LaRusso is a young kid in the movie who was being bullied by the young karate kids in the Cobra Kai Dojo. He trained hard and well under Mr. Miyagi and went into the All Valley Karate Tournament. When he won, he was able to gain the respect of the kids but of course, the dojo master will not bow down to him.

Mr. Miyagi is a veteran of the army and he taught Daniel everything that he needed to know about karate. Because of his knowledge in karate, Daniel was able to win the tournament. In the movie, he has always been serene and quiet but despite that, he is a man that is full of wisdom and knowledge.

John Kreese on the other hand is the dojo master of the Cobra Kai. He is very hotheaded and is obsessed with winning. He will go to great lengths to always stay ahead even if it means hurting someone or cheating.
